Individualized Care

Each patient is supervised throughout the treatment session, and treatment plans are modified based on patient progress. Our facility is equipped with technologically advanced equipment that enables each patient to strengthen and improve range of motion for the lumbar and cervical spine. Supplemental strengthening and flexibility of the upper and lower extremities that contribute to core stabilization are also addressed. Manual therapy and passive modalities are incorporated as needed in order that each patient can maximize the effectiveness of the plan of care. While there are many ways that back and neck pains are treated, we believe that in the end, it works if the patient works.

Getting Started

Our staff will verify benefits and obtain authorizations prior to beginning treatment. To begin, a patient needs a prescription with a diagnosis and instructions to evaluate and treat. If a referral is required, we ask that one be faxed to the office or given to the patient.

Equipment Used

One of the few clinics in Maryland to offer a series of MedX equipment exclusively for spine and core strengthening.

What to Expect

What will my initial evaluation look like?

Your initial evaluation will be with the Physical Therapist who will perform one on one testing including gait, pain, range of motion and also pre-op and post-op evaluations. Testing is done one on one with the physical therapist and will serve as a starting point to plan your individually tailored overall physical therapy short and long term goals. You will also be asked to complete a new patient packet and questionnaire so please allow time to complete these forms and bring a list of your medications.

What should I wear?

Wear general gym attire such as sneakers and loose fitting clothing depending on the part of the body that will be evaluated and treated. For example, post knee replacement patients should wear shorts or other loose clothing allowing easy access to the knee.
